Authorities in Vermilion Parish have arrested two men accused of stealing a 4-wheeler from a local business.
Jordan Oliver, 36, and Joseph Romero, 56, were charged with simple burglary after detectives linked them to the theft at Duhon’s Land Leveling in Maurice.
The Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report of the stolen 4-wheeler on Monday. Investigators worked with the Lafayette Parish Real-Time Crime Center, which tracked the stolen vehicle to a home in Rayne. Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Deputies recovered it on Tuesday.
Authorities later identified Oliver and Romero as suspects and located them at a residence in Duson. Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Deputies arrested both men, who were then transported to the Vermilion Parish Jail.
Bond details have not been released, and the investigation remains ongoing.
