Two people have been arrested in connection with a deadly fentanyl overdose in Peachtree City following a monthslong investigation by local authorities.
Jordan Houston Lytton and Rachel Cecelia Myers are facing felony involuntary manslaughter charges tied to the November 3, 2025, death, according to the Peachtree City Police Department.
Emergency responders from the police and fire departments were dispatched after reports of a possible overdose within city limits. Despite attempts to save the victim, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene. A toxicology report later confirmed a high concentration of fentanyl in the victim’s system.
Multiple Charges Filed
In addition to aggravated involuntary manslaughter, Lytton and Myers are charged with possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute and using a communication device to facilitate a felony. Arrest warrants were issued on February 1 after a coordinated investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies.
During the execution of a search warrant at Myers’ apartment, investigators reportedly discovered fentanyl along with methamphetamine, morphine, LSD, and a firearm.
Police said they remain committed to protecting the community and extended their condolences to the victim’s family. The department also acknowledged assistance from the Sandy Springs Police Department in apprehending Myers.
The investigation remains ongoing.
