NEW BERN, N.C. – Jordan Keith Blackmon, 20, of New Bern, entered a guilty plea under the Alford Decision for several drug-related charges after a seven-day trial in Craven County Superior Court. The plea was made before the jury could deliver a verdict.
Blackmon pleaded guilty to charges including Trafficking Opioid by Possession, Attempted Trafficking of an Opioid, Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, or Deliver Methamphetamine, Fentanyl, ANPP, and Drug Paraphernalia. He was sentenced to 70-93 months in the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction, followed by four consecutive suspended sentences totaling 75-126 months, which were replaced with 60 months of supervised probation.
The charges stem from an April 2023 investigation when the Craven County Sheriff’s Office received a tip that Blackmon was selling narcotics from a home in New Bern. A search warrant executed at the property uncovered 99.01 grams of fentanyl laced with ANPP, 20.28 grams of methamphetamine, and $1,620 in cash.
The Alford plea means Blackmon did not admit to the crimes but acknowledged that the evidence was sufficient for a conviction.
