Traffic Stop in Grady County Leads to Arrest of Bainbridge Man for Drug Possession
GRADY COUNTY, Ga. – A routine traffic stop turned into a drug arrest on June 24 when Grady County Sheriff’s deputies pulled over Jonathen Antonio Jenkins, a resident of Bainbridge, in Whigham.
Jenkins, who was driving a blue four-door Nissan, was unable to produce a valid driver’s license. Deputies soon discovered that his license had been suspended.
As part of the arrest procedure, deputies conducted a lawful search of the vehicle and reported finding a quantity of a Schedule I controlled substance.
Jenkins was taken into custody and transported to the Grady County Detention Center. He is facing multiple charges, including:
Possession of a Schedule I controlled substance
Driving with a suspended license
Open container violation
Failure to maintain lane
