A West Virginia man faces prison time after pleading guilty to a drug charge in Kanawha County.

Jonathan Dean Workman, 39, of Oceana, entered a guilty plea Wednesday to possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, according to the Kanawha County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

Authorities said that in April 2024, Workman was stopped by police near the intersection of Route 119 and Songer Lane in South Charleston following a traffic violation. During the stop, officers found methamphetamine in his possession.

Workman’s sentencing is scheduled for May 4, where he faces a potential prison term of 1 to 15 years.
