A Muhlenberg County man, Jonathan Lee Flener, was arrested last week after a traffic stop by Deputy Kyler Harvey in Central City. The stop occurred around 1:45 p.m. on August 19 on South 2nd Street after suspicion of impaired driving.

Deputy Harvey reported that Flener, the sole occupant of a 2006 Dodge Charger, smelled of marijuana and failed a Standardized Field Sobriety Test. Sgt. Alex Piper assisted during the stop.

A search of Flener’s vehicle revealed methamphetamine, hydrocodone pills, marijuana, digital scales, plastic baggies, and additional items.

Flener faces charges including Careless Driving, Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence, Trafficking in Marijuana, and Drug Possession. He was booked into the Muhlenberg County Jail and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for tomorrow.
