BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A joint narcotics investigation led to the arrest of Jonatan Gonzalez, 34, after authorities seized over 50 pounds of drugs from his south Bakersfield home on January 7, 2026, the Bakersfield Police Department announced.
Officers executed a search warrant at Gonzalez’s residence in the 600 block of Hosking Avenue and confiscated:
46.1 lbs of methamphetamine
2.8 lbs of black tar heroin
546 grams of cocaine
513.5 grams of marijuana
34.9 grams of fentanyl
507 pre-packaged parcels suspected of containing controlled substances
$40,565 in cash
Gonzalez was taken into custody without incident and is facing federal charges related to narcotics sales.
The operation was a coordinated effort involving Bakersfield Police Department Narcotics Detectives, California Highway Patrol officers assigned to the DEA Task Force, and special agents from the DEA, Homeland Security Investigations, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), as well as the United States Postal Inspection Service offices in Pittsburgh and Iowa.
Authorities emphasized that the multi-agency collaboration was key to disrupting a major drug distribution network in the region.
