ITHACA, N.Y. —
A 36-year-old Ithaca man is facing several charges after being taken into custody early Friday morning on an active arrest warrant, according to the Ithaca Police Department.
Officers arrested Johnathan Byrd on Friday, executing a warrant that included charges of second-degree burglary and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Police said that once at the station, Byrd became uncooperative and aggressive, refusing to comply with standard processing procedures. As a result, he was also charged with obstructing governmental administration.
Byrd was arraigned before Judge Wallace and remanded to the Tompkins County Jail pending further court proceedings.
