LEXINGTON, Ky. — John Greenwade, 45, was arrested just after midnight Thursday near the Thorntons gas station on Versailles Road, following an attempted strangulation and assault incident.
Police report that Greenwade placed his arms around a woman’s neck, attempting to strangle her while telling her he intended to steal her soul. When the woman tried to escape, Greenwade reportedly threw her against the side of a building.
Greenwade now faces charges of strangulation and assault.
