John Braxton has been arrested in Camden County, Georgia, following a drug bust that uncovered large quantities of narcotics and firearms, the Camden County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday.
Braxton faces several felony and misdemeanor charges, including possession with intent to distribute, firearm offenses, and possession of drug-related objects.
Authorities said the Joint Camden Action Team, consisting of members from the Camden County Sheriff’s Office, Kingsland Police Department, and St. Marys Police Department, executed a no-knock search warrant at a West Lilly Street home on February 12 at approximately 9:10 a.m. Investigators observed Braxton leaving the area and conducted a traffic stop while securing and searching the residence.
Inside the home, detectives reportedly found cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl pills, MDMA, marijuana, scales, packaging materials, and glassware consistent with drug distribution. Five firearms were seized, including rifles with suppressors and multiple handguns, along with a vehicle. All weapons were verified as not stolen.
Because the home is located near a childcare facility and private academy, authorities said Braxton will face enhanced charges under Georgia law. The investigation remains ongoing.
