ELMIRA, N.Y. — John Bowman, a 36-year-old resident of Lowman, was arrested and charged with grand larceny for allegedly stealing nearly $16,000 from Moore Trucking, a Pennsylvania-based trucking company.
Authorities revealed that Bowman misused a company gas card to make unauthorized fuel purchases amounting to $15,778 for his personal vehicles. These transactions occurred over a five-year period, from July 2020 to May 2025.
Bowman was arraigned in Horseheads Town Court and subsequently released. He is scheduled to appear in Big Flats Town Court for further proceedings at a later date.
The Chemung County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the case.
