GHANA/NIGERIA — Police have arrested Joel Nosa, Collins Rotimi, Shadrack Lulu, Austin Amahuaro, and John Uloko in a major operation at Adom Estates, Community 25, targeting a human trafficking and online scam network.
According to a police statement issued on October 22, 2025, preliminary investigations revealed the suspects lured young men and women from Nigeria to Ghana under the pretext of employment and educational opportunities. Upon arrival, victims aged 18 to 26 were coerced into online romance scams and other criminal activities.
During the raid, authorities recovered 77 laptops, 38 mobile phones, 2 vehicles, 3 televisions, and other internet-enabled devices believed to be used in committing the crimes.
All 57 rescued victims are now receiving medical and psychological support, while the suspects remain in custody, assisting police with ongoing investigations. The recovered items have been secured for forensic examination.
Police have urged the public—especially the youth—to remain cautious about job offers, educational programs, or travel arrangements advertised through social media or unverified channels.
The Police Service reaffirmed its commitment to combating human trafficking, cybercrime, and related offenses, and encouraged anyone with information on such criminal activity to report to the nearest station.
