J&K Police Arrest Accused, Attach Rs20 Lakh Property in Drug Case

Chadoora Budgam resident arrested; property seized under NDPS Act

In a significant breakthrough against drug trafficking, Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested Mohd Altaf Parray and attached immovable property worth approximately Rs20 lakhs under the NDPS Act in Chadoora Budgam. The action is linked to FIR No. 108/2025, registered at Police Station Chadoora under Sections 8/15 and 29 of the NDPS Act.

The seized property includes a double-storey residential house located in Bugam Chadoora, belonging to the accused, Mohd Altaf Parray, son of Ghulam Ahmed Parray. The arrest and property attachment are part of J&K Police’s efforts to dismantle the financial base of drug traffickers and halt their illegal operations.

Jammu and Kashmir Police maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy on drug-related crimes, aiming to protect communities from the dangers of substance abuse. The police continue to appeal to the public for information on drug peddling and trafficking to foster a drug-free society.
