Jiaxing Guan Arrested in Boise Credit Card Theft Spree

Texas man charged with burglary and grand theft in Idaho

by Sophia Bennett

Jiaxing Guan, 32, was arrested on March 19 by the Boise Police Department Organized Retail Crime Unit in connection with a series of credit card thefts across the Treasure Valley.

Authorities say Guan, a Texas resident, is facing two counts of burglary and two counts of grand theft after allegedly stealing credit cards and making fraudulent purchases. His arrest followed multiple reports from victims who noticed suspicious charges on their bank statements.

The investigation involved coordination between the Boise Police Department, Nampa Police Department, and the Ada County Sheriff’s Office. Guan had previously been arrested in Nampa on charges including burglary, forgery, and criminal possession of a bank card.

Police are urging residents who shopped at Albertsons locations in Boise, Eagle, and Star between March 9 and March 10 to review their bank statements for unauthorized charges.

Guan is currently being held at the Ada County Jail as investigators continue working to identify additional victims.
