Jesus Brizuela, Richard Vaughn Arrested in Webb County Drug Case

Traffic stop leads to felony drug charges for both men

Webb County, TX — The Webb County Precinct 1 Constable’s Office arrested Jesus Brizuela and Richard Lee Vaughn on multiple drug-related charges following a traffic stop on April 10.

According to authorities, Vaughn was driving the vehicle with Brizuela as a passenger when they were pulled over. During the stop, officers discovered small amounts of narcotics in Brizuela’s possession, prompting his immediate arrest.

Brizuela now faces several serious charges:

Possession of a controlled substance (2nd-degree felony)

Possession of a controlled substance (3rd-degree felony)

Manufacture/delivery of a controlled substance with intent to deliver (2nd-degree felony)

Possession of a controlled substance (Class A misdemeanor)

Failure to identify with intent to give false information (Class A misdemeanor)

In addition to these charges, Brizuela was also served with an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in a theft case.

While Vaughn was initially released at the scene, further investigation led to a warrant for his arrest after drugs were found to be in his possession. He was officially charged on April 28 with:

Possession of a controlled substance (3rd-degree felony)

An additional felony drug possession charge

Both men remain under investigation as authorities continue their efforts to curb drug-related crimes in Webb County.
