Arrests follow theft of jewelry, Christmas presents in Albany

Two Arrested in Albany, KY Home Invasion Case

ALBANY, Ky. – A home invasion reported on December 4 in Albany has led to the arrest of two individuals. The Clinton County Dispatch received the call regarding the break-in at a residence on Old Burkesville Road. Sheriff Ricky Marcum confirmed that the suspects made a forced entry through the back door of the house. Stolen items included jewelry and the family’s Christmas gifts.

In a swift response, the Albany Police Department and Clinton County Sheriff’s Office worked together to track down the suspects’ vehicle within 48 hours. The vehicle was located at the Royal Inn in Albany. Following interviews and the gathering of evidence, authorities issued arrest warrants for 38-year-old Jessica Dalton and 38-year-old Nathaniel Johnson, both residents of Albany.

On December 6, officers from Post 15 executed a search warrant in Russell County, leading to the arrests of Dalton and Johnson.

Dalton faces charges of second-degree burglary (complicity) and theft by unlawful taking under $500 (complicity). Johnson is charged with second-degree burglary and theft by unlawful taking under $500.

Some of the stolen items were recovered and identified by the victims.

During the investigation, law enforcement also uncovered evidence suggesting that Dalton and Johnson may be linked to another potential home invasion in Tennessee. This information has been forwarded to the Pickett County Sheriff’s Office for further investigation.
