JOHNSON COUNTY, Ga. — On August 26, Johnson County Sheriff’s Office arrested 43-year-old Jerry Dee Robert Akridge following complaints of drug trafficking via motorcycle deliveries to local homes.

Law enforcement served a search warrant at Akridge’s camper located at 71 Bill Ganto Road in Adrian, Georgia, around 9:20 p.m. During the operation, deputies seized a large quantity of suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, multiple prescription pill bottles, and various drug-related items. Authorities also found three firearms and equipment consistent with a methamphetamine lab and drug distribution.

A green motorcycle identified as being used for drug deliveries was impounded.

Akridge was taken to the Danny Elbert Detention Center in Elberton, Georgia, facing multiple charges, including trafficking methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of prescription drugs not in original containers, possession of drug-related objects, manufacture of a controlled substance, and possession of firearms during the commission of a crime.

Johnson County Sheriff Greg Roland praised the deputies for their efforts, stating, “Our office is committed to ridding this community of serious narcotics and the dangers they bring. This case is another example of our ongoing fight against criminal activity in Johnson County.”

Authorities confirmed the investigation is ongoing, with further updates expected.
