LEWISTON, ID — A 50-year-old Lewiston man, Jeremy J. Seykoski, has been charged with multiple felonies following allegations of sexual abuse of a child over a possible multi-year period.

The investigation began in December after Washington Child Protective Services contacted Lewiston police regarding abuse claims involving a minor. During a forensic interview at the Lewiston Child Advocacy Center, the child disclosed repeated inappropriate sexual conduct starting as early as 2022 while living at Seykoski’s residence. The child identified Seykoski as a step-grandfather and reported incidents occurred both at the home and at a local business.

On Thursday, Lewiston detectives conducted a traffic stop and detained Seykoski after observing a handgun and ammunition in his vehicle. A search warrant executed at his residence resulted in the seizure of an AR-15 style rifle and additional evidence, including numerous electronic devices.

Seykoski reportedly admitted he was legally prohibited from possessing firearms due to a prior felony conviction. He later denied any inappropriate conduct with the child and requested an attorney, ending the interview.

He faces one count of lewd conduct with a child under sixteen and two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. All charges are felonies. Seykoski was booked into the Nez Perce County Jail, and bond was set at $500,000 during his Friday court appearance.
