Jeremy Murphy Arrested in Connection with Adajah Ellis Shooting

18-year-old Adajah Ellis fatally shot in Jackson; Jeremy Murphy charged

A suspect has been taken into custody in connection with a fatal shooting in Jackson, Mississippi. The shooting occurred on the morning of February 17th in the 3200 block of James Hill Drive.

At approximately 9:30 a.m., officers responded to the scene and found the victim, 18-year-old Adajah Ellis, suffering from gunshot wounds. She was rushed to a nearby hospital in a private car but was tragically pronounced dead shortly after her arrival. Authorities have notified her next of kin.

Through diligent investigation, detectives identified Jeremy Murphy as the suspect in the case. Murphy has been arrested and charged with murder and tampering with evidence.
