WARREN COUNTY, Miss. — A 35-year-old man is behind bars following an undercover narcotics investigation led by the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
Jeremy Austin was arrested around 9 a.m. Tuesday on the 100 block of St. Patrick Street. He faces charges for the sale of a controlled substance, specifically involving methamphetamine and heroin.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of Investigator Jeff Merit. Following his arrest, Austin appeared before Judge Randy Lewis, who set bail at $50,000.
However, because Austin is already on probation, the Mississippi Department of Corrections placed a hold on him. As a result, he will remain in custody at the Warren County Jail, regardless of bond status.
