Kansas City, Mo. — A 19-year-old Kansas City man has been charged with multiple felonies after allegedly robbing a local gas station employee at gunpoint.
Jeremiah Rittenhouse is accused of threatening the employee with a handgun during an incident at a convenience store on April 22, 2025, around 4:30 a.m., just after the store opened. According to court documents, Rittenhouse approached the employee and said, “I am going to need all your money,” while placing his hand on a black handgun in his waistband.
The victim complied, handing over approximately $97 from the cash register. Police were called to the scene shortly after the robbery, and Rittenhouse was arrested on Wednesday.
He now faces charges of first-degree robbery and armed criminal action, both of which are felonies under Missouri law. Rittenhouse is being held at the Jackson County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.
