Joliet, IL — Jennifer M. Ross, 44, is currently being held at the Will County Jail after Joliet police arrested her at the Louis Joliet Mall earlier this week. She faces multiple charges, including felony retail theft, theft of services, and obstructing justice. Police also discovered she had an outstanding Kane County arrest warrant for violating her conditional release.
Retail Theft Incidents
Joliet police responded to a business on Plainfield Road on Tuesday afternoon, where a woman allegedly received beauty care services and left without paying. The business owner provided a description of the suspect.
While officers were filing the police report, they were alerted to another theft nearby. The suspect in the second theft matched the description of the first incident.
Arrest at Louis Joliet Mall
Officers, with assistance from mall security, located Ross inside Louis Joliet Mall and took her into custody.
At the Joliet police station, Ross provided a false name and refused to cooperate. However, officers were able to identify her through fingerprints, revealing her Kane County arrest warrant.
