PUSLINCH, ON – Two individuals have been arrested and charged in connection with a copper wire theft and damage to telecommunication lines in Puslinch Township.
According to the Wellington County OPP, officers received a call from a Good Samaritan at around 1:30 p.m. on July 2, reporting a suspicious person cutting wires from hydro poles along Arkell Road.
Upon arrival, police discovered that multiple telecom lines had been cut and damaged.
During their investigation, officers located two suspects hiding in a nearby wooded area, along with property linked to the crime.
The suspects were identified as:
Jeffery Louis Brown, 31, of Guelph
Jenny-Lynn Hardisty-Chittenden, 26, of no fixed address
Both have been charged with:
Mischief over $5,000
Possession of break-in instruments
Two counts of theft under $5,000
The pair is scheduled to appear in Guelph court at a later date.
