MALTA, NY – The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jeffery P. Azzoto, 35, of Malta, following a harassment complaint on Traver Road in Wilton. Authorities were notified of the complaint the day after the alleged incident.
According to police, Azzoto repeatedly contacted the victim despite being told to stop, causing harm to their mental and emotional well-being. Further investigation led officers to discover that Azzoto was in possession of assault weapons, large-capacity ammunition feeding devices, and had been manufacturing these devices.
A search warrant executed at a residence on Arrow Wood Place in Malta resulted in Azzoto’s arrest. He was charged with:
22 counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon
4 counts of manufacturing large-capacity ammunition feeding devices
3 counts of criminal possession of a firearm
Fourth-degree stalking
Azzoto was arraigned in Milton Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Jail, pending further legal proceedings.
