In a major crackdown on drug peddling, Gurugram Police have arrested four individuals with large quantities of illegal substances including ganja and heroin. The operation was carried out overnight between May 11 and 12 across various locations in the city.
According to a police spokesperson, a total of 6 kg 270 grams of ganja and 22 grams of heroin were seized, along with a scooter and a motorcycle.
The Crime Branch Sikanderpur arrested Jitender alias Jeetu, a resident of Dholpur, Rajasthan, from Laxman Vihar with 1 kg 240 grams of ganja.
In Khandsa, Kamlesh alias Popat from Siwan, Bihar, was caught with 1 kg 980 grams of ganja.
From Sector-23, Sushant Parmar of Palam Vihar was arrested by Crime Branch Sector-39 with 3 kg 50 grams of ganja and a scooter.
Additionally, Crime Branch Farrukhnagar arrested Gaurav, a resident of Farrukhnagar, from Sultanpur Road under the KMP flyover with 22 grams of heroin and a motorcycle.
Police say the anti-drug operation will continue in the coming weeks to curb the distribution of illegal narcotics in the region.
