POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – Coral Springs police have arrested Jeanson Novembre, 19, for a 2023 fatal crash in Pompano Beach that killed Melvin Tucker, 57, and injured two others.

Novembre, who was 17 at the time, was allegedly speeding at 70 mph in a 30-mph zone and driving the wrong way when he crashed head-on into Tucker’s motorcycle on Feb. 28, 2023, near Sample Road.

Tucker’s wife, Renea Adams, survived the crash, while a passenger in Novembre’s Toyota Corolla, identified as Hinoguere Limage, also suffered injuries. After the initial collision, Novembre lost control and crashed into a utility pole, causing it to collapse.

Authorities used surveillance footage to confirm Novembre’s speed and reckless driving. He was arrested Thursday and booked at the main jail in Fort Lauderdale.

Novembre now faces three counts of reckless driving causing damage and one count of vehicular homicide, a non-bondable second-degree felony. Prosecutors filed the charges Thursday, and the case remains under investigation.
