SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCSC) — Four people have been arrested and charged in connection with the murder and disposal of 18-year-old Antwon Javice Carmichael, whose body was found discarded in the Rosinville community earlier this month.
The Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrests on Thursday after an intensive investigation involving local deputies, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), and the Criminal Investigations Division.
The suspects and charges are as follows:
Jay Kirkland Sneed, 40, is charged with murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, and accessory before the fact of desecration of human remains.
Jessicle Mirclelynn Williams, 34, is charged with murder and accessory before the fact of desecration of human remains.
Antoine Johmar Lott, 40, faces charges of accessory after the fact of murder and desecration of human remains.
Shaquanan Lashia Frayer, 37, is also charged with accessory after the fact of murder and desecration of human remains.
On Sunday, August 3, deputies were called to White House Pond Road where a suspicious package was found. Upon investigation, it was determined to be a body wrapped in white bedding.
Six days later, the victim was identified as Antwon Carmichael, a teenager from Orangeburg. Sheriff Sam Richardson later confirmed that Carmichael had been murdered at a home on Peppertree Lane on August 2. The cause of death was multiple stab wounds.
Authorities say the investigation remains ongoing, and more details may be released as the case progresses.
