Authorities responded after reports of shots fired and later learned a man with gunshot wounds had arrived at UC Medical Center in a private vehicle.
The victim, 25-year-old Jawan Tyree Bates, was confirmed dead at the hospital.
Police continue to investigate the shooting, but no suspects have been identified at this time.
