HENRY COUNTY, VA (BTW21) — A narcotics investigation led to two arrests, the seizure of illegal drugs, and the confiscation of a vehicle after the Henry County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 325 Maple Drive, Apartment 9, on July 18, 2025.
The investigation began with an anonymous tip reporting heavy vehicle and foot traffic at the apartment—activity often linked to drug distribution. Upon arriving, deputies observed suspicious behavior and later conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle exiting the complex due to a registration violation.
During the stop, deputies found drug paraphernalia and illegal substances after inconsistencies arose in the occupants’ stories. That discovery led to a search warrant for the apartment.
Inside, authorities seized suspected:
Methamphetamine
Cocaine
Digital scales
Packaging materials
Multiple cell phones
U.S. currency
A 2010 Audi sedan believed to be connected to drug activity
Three individuals were found inside the apartment. Two were arrested, while the third was released after no warrants were found.
Arrested Individuals:
Javon Lamar Manns – Held without bond
Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute (VA Code §18.2-248)
Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute (VA Code §18.2-248)
