ROME, Ga. — JaVarick Davon McCain, 30, of Rome, was arrested this week after being found with methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop on North Broad at Calhoun Avenue.
Police said McCain switched into the driver’s seat during the stop to help another person who did not have a valid license. He then provided a false name and date of birth while being questioned.
A vehicle search reportedly uncovered methamphetamine and a glass smoking device containing drug residue.
McCain faces multiple charges, including possession of meth, giving false information to police, obstruction, possession of drug-related objects, driving without a license, failure to appear, and probation violation.
