Jaspal Singh Arrested for Heroin Supply in Jalandhar Rural

Mehatpur police seize drugs, Rs 21,500 in narcotics bust

A man identified as Jaspal Singh, also known as Jassi, was arrested by Mehatpur police for allegedly supplying heroin and intoxicant tablets in the area. The arrest was made during a cordon and search operation (CASO) on July 23.

Under the supervision of DSP Onkar Singh Brar, the Mehatpur police team led by SHO Inspector Balbir Singh and SI Kashmir Singh recovered 3 grams of heroin, 20 intoxicant tablets, and Rs 21,500 in drug money from Jaspal Singh’s possession.

Jaspal Singh, a resident of Boote Dian Channan village in Jalandhar, is believed to be involved in the drug supply network across the region.

A case has been registered against him under Sections 21(A), 22, 61, and 85 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Mehatpur police station.

The police are continuing their investigation to identify other possible links in the drug supply chain.
