Jason Wilkinson Arrested After Police Chase, Drug & Gun Seizure

Waverly Man Crashed Motorcycle While Fleeing Authorities

Jason Wilkinson, 38, of Waverly, was arrested on Tuesday after crashing his motorcycle while attempting to flee from police in Parkersburg, West Virginia.

According to the Parkersburg Police Department, officers initiated a pursuit near the 1300 block of Plum Street after noticing Wilkinson’s motorcycle was spray-painted and lacked visible registration. When police attempted to stop him, Wilkinson sped off, leading authorities on a high-speed chase through the city.

The pursuit ended when Wilkinson lost control of his motorcycle and crashed along the 1000 block of Old St. Mary’s Pike. Officers took him into custody at the scene and discovered 26 grams of methamphetamine and a 9mm handgun in his possession.

Wilkinson is now facing multiple charges, including fleeing with reckless indifference, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
