Three Arrested for Meth Trafficking After Drug Find at Roadblock
A routine checkpoint on the outskirts of Philadelphia, Mississippi, led to the arrest of three individuals on drug trafficking charges early Saturday morning, July 26, after deputies found a felony amount of methamphetamine hidden inside their vehicle.
The driver, Jason Quinn, 40, of Louisville, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and trafficking of a controlled substance, according to Neshoba County Sheriff Eric Clark.
Passengers Hallee Logan Crapps, 26, of Union, and Meagan Irene Morris, 34, also face trafficking charges.
Law enforcement encountered the trio around 2:30 a.m. at a safety checkpoint on Highway 15 South, near the Philadelphia city limits. During a roadside interview, officers discovered a hidden compartment under the truck’s center console. Inside was a plastic bottle wrapped in electrical tape, containing three baggies of a crystal-like substance suspected to be meth.
The substance was later confirmed to weigh approximately 65 grams, Sheriff Clark reported — a quantity qualifying as a felony amount.
Quinn remains in custody at the Neshoba County Detention Facility on a $50,600 bond. Crapps and Morris were released on $10,000 bond each.
Authorities say the investigation remains active.
