Jason Patrick Lawrance Arrested on Meth Charges in Wayne Co.

Traffic stop leads to drug and paraphernalia seizure

Jason Patrick Lawrance Arrested for Meth Possession Following Traffic Stop in Wayne County

WAYNE COUNTY, NC — Deputies arrested a 46-year-old man on Thursday after a routine traffic stop turned into a drug investigation.

Jason Patrick Lawrance, of A Street, was pulled over for a driving violation in Wayne County. During the stop, deputies suspected possible illegal activity and requested a K-9 unit to assist in the investigation.

According to Wayne County Public Information Officer Joel Gillie, the K-9 alerted to the presence of narcotics during an exterior search of the vehicle. Deputies then discovered methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside the car.

Lawrance was arrested and charged with:

Felony possession of methamphetamine

Possession of drug paraphernalia

He was booked into the Wayne County Jail without bond.

The arrest highlights continued efforts by law enforcement to curb illegal drug activity through targeted traffic enforcement.
