Jason Edward Day Convicted in La Grange Bank Robbery

Jury recommends 5-year sentence for 2024 bank theft

LEWIS COUNTY, Mo. — A northeast Missouri man has been convicted of robbing a La Grange bank, nearly a year and a half after the crime occurred.

Jason Edward Day, 50, of La Grange, was found guilty on Friday after a two-day trial in Lewis County.

The incident happened on January 8, 2024, when Day entered Town and Country Bank and demanded money from a teller.

A jury has recommended a five-year prison sentence, though the final decision will be made by the judge at Day’s sentencing hearing on July 17, 2025.
