PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a man on multiple felony drug charges, including alleged intent to sell or distribute controlled substances, according to an arrest report released Thursday night.
The suspect, identified as Jason Barker, a white male, was taken into custody under Report No. 466276. Authorities said Barker is suspected of possession with intent to sell, manufacture, or deliver a Schedule IV controlled substance, as well as a Schedule II controlled substance.
Details regarding the type or quantity of drugs involved, the circumstances of the arrest, or Barker’s date of birth were not released.
Under Florida law, charges involving intent to sell or distribute controlled substances carry more severe penalties than simple possession and can result in significant legal consequences if proven in court.
As with all criminal cases, these charges are allegations, and Barker is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
