A 32-year-old woman, identified as Jasmin, was arrested with 34 stolen mobile phones and a tablet in southeast Delhi’s New Friends Colony area, police said on Sunday.

Jasmin, a resident of Taimoor Nagar, was apprehended on August 1 during routine police patrolling. Officers stopped her near Taimoor Nagar after noticing she was carrying a large bag. Upon searching the bag, police found 34 mobile phones and one tablet, suspected to be stolen.

According to officials, Jasmin is a habitual offender with a criminal record involving four previous theft-related cases.

During questioning, she admitted that she used to purchase stolen mobile phones from two unidentified individuals at low prices and resell them for profit.

The case is under further investigation.
