Camden, S.C. — A Camden man is facing multiple drug and firearm charges after a joint operation led to a major bust in Kershaw County.
Jarminski Cook, 46, was arrested on Tuesday after the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, in coordination with local law enforcement agencies, executed a search warrant at a home on Campbell Street.
According to the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office, the search uncovered:
190 grams of cocaine
9 grams of crack cocaine
2.36 pounds of marijuana
1 handgun
Cook has been formally charged with:
Trafficking in cocaine (100–200 grams)
Possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine
Possession with intent to distribute marijuana
Possession of a weapon during a violent crime
Felon in possession of a firearm
The operation was the result of a joint investigation involving the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, and the Camden Police Department.
Authorities say the bust is part of ongoing efforts to crack down on narcotics distribution and illegal firearm possession in the region.
Cook is currently being held pending a bond hearing.
