The Oxford Police Department has arrested Ja’Riant Stokes, 28, of Oxford, in connection with a domestic violence incident that occurred on Nov. 24 in the 1000 block of Burney Branch.
According to the victim’s report, the assault included choking during the altercation. Following the investigation, authorities issued a warrant for Stokes’ arrest, and he was taken into custody without further incident.
Stokes was brought before the Municipal Court Judge for his bond hearing after his arrest.
