Janna Robinson, a 53-year-old woman from Rock Island, is being held in the Scott County Jail after allegedly stealing over $10,000 worth of jewelry from an elderly person she was hired to care for. Robinson faces felony charges of dependent adult abuse and theft after taking multiple jewelry items without the victim’s consent.
According to a criminal complaint, Davenport Police received a report of stolen jewelry on June 24, 2024, from a residence on Wynnewood Court. The victim, an elderly individual, had employed Robinson as an in-home caretaker. Investigators say Robinson removed the jewelry from the victim’s home and sold the items through various local pawn shops for profit.
A warrant for Robinson’s arrest was issued on November 5, 2024, and she was apprehended on March 31, 2025. She is currently being held on a $20,000 cash-only bond and is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on April 10.
