NOVATO, CA — A late-night police search at a Novato motel led to the arrest of Jana Dominguez, a 26-year-old Bay Area woman, on multiple drug-related charges, including possession of heroin and methamphetamine.
According to Lieutenant John McCarthy of the Novato Police Department, officers entered Dominguez’s room at Americas Best Inn on Redwood Boulevard around 1:00 a.m. Tuesday. Inside, they found what appeared to be heroin, methamphetamine, and narcotic paraphernalia. Police also noted that Dominguez showed clear signs of being under the influence of narcotics.
Dominguez, a Vacaville resident with listed addresses in both Oakland and Vacaville, was transported to Marin County Jail. She was charged with possession of heroin, possession of methamphetamines, possession of narcotic paraphernalia, and being under the influence of narcotics.
Records indicate that Dominguez has a history of drug-related offenses, including a drug possession and sales arrest in Vacaville on October 8 and a shoplifting charge in Dixon on December 1.
