A significant breakthrough in the battle against drug trafficking was achieved on Saturday when Jamshedpur Police arrested a drug smuggler in Golmuri for selling brown sugar. The arrest came after the police received secret information, leading to a raid conducted by SP City Kumar Shivashish. The operation resulted in the capture of Suraj Singh, who was apprehended near Golmuri Club Road.
During the raid, the police seized 24 packets of brown sugar, two mobile phones, drug paraphernalia, and a scooty from the accused. SP Kumar Shivashish highlighted the importance of the operation, stating, “This arrest is a significant success in our ongoing fight against drug trafficking. We will continue to take strict action to curb the drug trade in Jamshedpur.”
The accused has been sent to jail, and further investigations are underway. The police have vowed to maintain their vigilance and act swiftly in future cases related to narcotics.
