In a significant blow to narcotics networks, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF), in collaboration with Pipalkhunt police and Pratapgarh District Special Team (DST), has dismantled a major illegal MD drug manufacturing factory in Rajasthan.
The operation led to the arrest of Jamshed alias Jammu Lala (33), a resident of Dewaldi, who was wanted and carried a Rs25,000 reward on his head. Police seized 17.4 kg of MD powder valued at Rs50 crore in the international market, along with over 70 kg of chemicals and manufacturing equipment.
The raid took place in a hut owned by Ishwar Meena in Tanda Bada, Sarhad Bori Mojal, where the drugs were allegedly being produced. Acting on surveillance and intelligence inputs received by Head Constable Mahavir Singh and Constable Narendra Patidar, the task force zeroed in on the site.
This high-profile crackdown was conducted under the leadership of Pratapgarh SP B. Aditya, with guidance from ADG Crime Dinesh MN, DIG Deepak Bhargava, and Additional SPs Asha Ram Chaudhary and Siddhant Sharma.
The arrested accused is linked to a wider drug syndicate. Notably, on December 16, 2024, a similar raid in Dewaldi resulted in the seizure of 11.45 kg of liquid MDMA worth ₹40 crore, and Jammu Lala had evaded arrest at that time along with Yakub and Sahil.
Further investigations revealed that co-accused Yakub Khan used drug proceeds to purchase a lodge in his wife’s name in Hussain Tekri, Javra (MP), now frozen by authorities under Section 68F(1) of the NDPS Act.
This operation underscores Rajasthan Police’s commitment to eradicating narcotic networks.
