
WYOMING COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A routine traffic stop in Wyoming County resulted in a major drug bust involving over a pound of suspected methamphetamine, firearms, and cash, according to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department.
The incident occurred on Friday, March 14, 2025, when Corporal Tucker Cook stopped a 2015 green Chevrolet Silverado near East Pineville. Authorities noted that the driver, Jamie Owens, lacked a valid driver’s license and appeared visibly nervous.
Two passengers, identified as Rachel Gibson and Rose Robertson, were also inside the vehicle.
Deputy Matthew Perry and K-9 Cain conducted an open-air sniff of the vehicle, which alerted to the presence of narcotics. A subsequent search revealed a hidden compartment containing approximately 690 grams (1.52 pounds) of suspected methamphetamine, along with two firearms and $690 in cash.
As a result:
Jamie Owens and Rachel Gibson were both charged with possession with intent to deliver and drug conspiracy.
Rose Robertson, a convicted felon, was charged with drug conspiracy and prohibited person in possession of a firearm due to a prior conviction for nighttime burglary.
All three suspects were transported to Southern Regional Jail, where they remain in custody.
