James Ryan Andrews Arrested After Alleged Kidnapping of Fiancée in Parkersburg
PARKERSBURG, W.Va. – A Parkersburg man was arrested Sunday after allegedly abducting his fiancée from a residence on Valley Mills Drive, according to the Wood County Sheriff’s Department.
James Ryan Andrews, 40, was reportedly trespassing at the property when he forcibly removed Jessica Ruble, 39, from the home and fled in a white two-door Chrysler Sebring with Ohio plates.
A warrant for kidnapping/abduction was quickly issued. Authorities launched a search and asked for public assistance in locating the couple, who were last seen together with another unidentified female in the early morning hours.
Detectives later located the suspect vehicle in Belpre, Ohio. With assistance from the Belpre Police Department, Andrews was taken into custody without incident. Ruble was found at the scene and was not injured, officials confirmed.
Ruble, however, was also arrested on an unrelated warrant and is currently in the custody of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation is ongoing.
