TROY, Mich. — Six individuals were taken into custody following an attempted vehicle theft at the Suburban Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Troy dealership early in the morning on April 22.

Troy police responded to a report of a break-in at the Maplelawn Road dealership around 4:30 a.m. An employee observed four individuals entering the service bay, attempting to steal a Jeep Grand Wagoneer by driving it through a roll-up door.

Police spotted two vehicles—a Saab and a Chrysler 300—believed to be acting as lookouts. The Saab was found nearby with a driver arrested for driving with a suspended license. The Chrysler 300 was later located by Royal Oak police on I-696 near Dequindre Road.

Surveillance footage helped authorities identify and arrest the suspects. Of the six individuals arrested, five were charged:

James Jovon Dorsey: Unlawful driving away of an automobile, breaking and entering, conspiracy to commit larceny over $20,000, and two counts of malicious destruction of property

Stephanie Marie Cruz-Mena: Conspiracy to commit larceny over $20,000

Amari Davier Harris: Breaking and entering, conspiracy to commit larceny over $20,000, possession of burglary tools

Jadin Lorenzo Robinson and Giovionni Gary Blessmen: Breaking and entering and conspiracy to commit larceny over $20,000

The sixth suspect was cited only for driving with a suspended license.

All five charged suspects are scheduled for a probable cause conference on May 6.

Law enforcement agencies believe this case may be tied to a broader vehicle theft ring, with more arrests expected. Authorities commended the quick coordination between departments, which prevented the theft and ensured public safety.
