James Donquin Carter Sentenced in NC Drug Trafficking Case

Over 7 years prison, $50K fine for meth and cocaine charges

DUPLIN COUNTY, N.C. — James Donquin Carter has been sentenced to more than seven years in prison after being convicted on multiple felony drug charges, according to the Duplin County Sheriff’s Office.

Carter was found guilty of one count of felony trafficking methamphetamine and one count of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine. In addition to his prison term, Carter was ordered to pay a $50,000 fine.

The sentence will be served within the North Carolina Department of Corrections.

Sheriff Stratton Stokes expressed gratitude to Fifth Prosecutorial District Attorney Ernie Lee and his office for successfully prosecuting the case.
