GUADALUPE COUNTY, Texas – A law enforcement crackdown in Guadalupe County has led to multiple arrests involving child exploitation and domestic violence charges.
On Tuesday, deputies arrested James Davis (41), Frederick Simmons-Smith (32), and Eddie Villanueva (39), all of whom had outstanding warrants. According to the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO), these arrests are part of a concentrated effort to target crimes against children and vulnerable individuals.
James Davis was arrested on a parole warrant for assault family violence–impeding breath or circulation.
Frederick Simmons-Smith faces a charge of indecency with a child-exposure related to a January 26 incident.
Eddie Villanueva was charged with injury to a child, elderly, or disabled person stemming from an incident on April 2.
All three are currently held at the Guadalupe County Adult Detention Facility.
Sheriff Joshua Ray emphasized the department’s ongoing focus on crimes involving child exploitation and domestic abuse, noting a directive he issued to the fugitive apprehension unit.

Coltin Wiley (28), a Marion volunteer firefighter, was arrested in Schertz on Wednesday for aggravated sexual assault and continuous sexual assault of a child under 14.
Jericho Ball (20) and Joshua Guzman (20) were taken into custody earlier in the week for charges related to sexual assault of a child and possession of child sexual abuse material.
Brian Schreiber (36) was also arrested Tuesday for possession of child pornography.
Authorities say this operation is part of an ongoing effort to hold offenders accountable and protect vulnerable members of the community.
