James David Branch Arrested for Meth Possession in Troutman

Branch Held Without Bond After Traffic Stop Reveals Drugs

James David Branch, 41, of Gastonia was arrested by Troutman Police on Thursday, May 29, after officers discovered methamphetamine during a traffic stop.

Shortly after 8 p.m., officers pulled over Branch’s vehicle on Charlotte Highway at the intersection with Flower House Loop for an expired registration plate. During the stop, Branch consented to a search of his vehicle. Officers found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside.

Branch was taken into custody and held without bond, as he was already out on pre-trial release at the time of the arrest. His District Court hearing is scheduled for June 23.
