The Jammu and Kashmir Crime Branch has booked a school teacher, Jameel Anjum, and another individual, Masroor Ahmad, for allegedly defrauding people by promising them government jobs in exchange for money and valuables.
The case was filed after a complaint by Rashid Manhas, a resident of Gujjar Nagar, who claimed that Jameel Anjum took money and gold items from him and his sister, promising them government jobs. Similarly, Masroor Ahmad, a resident of Ghambir Moghla in Rajouri district, allegedly cheated Sunil Kumar from Suchetgarh with the same false promise.
Jameel Anjum, who has a history of fraud, has been involved in multiple cases of fraud, cheating, forgery, and impersonation. The police report indicates that ten cases have been registered against him at various police stations in Jammu, with three already sent to court and seven still under investigation.
